Visas

Aeroservice Aviation Center is authorized by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to issue the I-20 Training visa.  If you require an I-20 please complete the Aeroservice Enrollment Form.  Once your enrollment form is received along with your course payment we will issue your  I-20.

 

TSA

 

Aeroservice Aviation Center is authorized by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to train foreign pilots under the new AFSP program.  Candidate who require TSA approval are requested to complete the Aeroservice International Pilot Form which will assist us in validating your TSA application. 

 

Below is a listing of the 3 categories that are relevant to large aircraft training.  If you are not sure which category you are in please contact Ms. Raisa Jimenz, International Student representative at (305) 871-5557 or you can click here to send an e-mail.

 

Category 1

Candidates who seek flight training in the operation of aircraft with a maximum certified takeoff weight greater than 12,500 pounds but do not fall into Category 2.

 

 

Category 2

Candidates who seek flight training in the operation of aircraft with a maximum certified takeoff weight greater than 12,500 pounds, and who:

 

1) Are employed by a foreign air carrier that operates under 14 CFR part 1546;

 

2) Have unescorted access authority to a secured area of an airport under U.S.C 44936(a)(1)(A)(ii), 49 CFR 1542.229;

 

3) Are a flight crew member who has successfully completed a criminal history records check in accordance with 49 CFR 1544.230; or

 

4) Hold an airman's certificate that is recognized by the FAA or appropriate US military agency, and that permits the candidate to operate a multi-engine aircraft that has a certificated takeoff weight of 12,500 pounds or more.

 

Category 4

 

Candidates who seek recurrent flight training for an aircraft with a maximum certified takeoff weight greater than 12,500 pounds, and who are current and qualified on the aircraft for which they are requesting training.

 

 

 

Fingerprints

 

Aeroservice Aviation Center has 5 staff members authorized to collect fingerprints on behalf of the Transportation Security Administration.  To request a fingerprint appointment please contact our fingerprint desk at (305) 871-5557.
